There are two places in PigVision where own offspring can be assigned ID numbers.

1. Farrowing registration list

2. Sow card

From Farrowing registration list:

When using the farrowing list, add 'Numbering of piglets' to your farrowing registration window. There are different fields. If only females to be numbered you don't need the fields for boars. And it is different fields related to what breeding company the herd is communication with.

The program will now suggest the current numbers to both females and males according to 'Herd number pool'.  You can find the setup of the herd number pools under Breeding - Herd number pool.

Check that 'Sow serial no from'  and 'Boar serial no from' and the number of piglets to be assigned is correct.

If you change the no of sow piglets the no of boars is automatic adjusted.

When done set a checkmark in the Execute field and the piglets are numbered.

From Sow card:

If you wish to assign ID numbers through the sow card.

Open the current sow card and double click on the field 'Live born' when the farrowing is entered.

The program will now suggest the current numbers for both females and males according to 'Herd number pool'.  You can find the setup of the herd number pools under Breeding - Herd number pool.

You can change the no of piglets to be assigned and the start serial no.

If you change the no of sow piglets the no of boars is automatic adjusted.

When the no of piglets to be numbered and serial numbers are correct, press the 'Create animals' option in the top of the window and the piglets are assigned.

If one or more of the numbers is wrong you can correct them directly.
