Before importing any sows, you must change the settings. Select " General" - "Setup" - "Validation" - "Sow data":
Under "Weaning" you must select "Calculate" in the drop down box.
Go to the menu ”Sows boars”, “Animal” and here select a layout.
Now click on the yellow icon 
”Import” in the top menu. This will open Windows Explorer and you now must find the file to import.
Click Open and you will now get a few questions to the import of the sows:
If you are working with In-Herd Nucleus Management, then the program will ask if the sows are to be part of a Breeding Herd Group.
The second question is, if the import is to use the sow numbers in the file.
If the answer is NO (Not recommended) then you have to setup now you want the number to be:
Now the program will ask for a date to put as the entry date:
When the import is done you will get an information about the number of animals imported.
