Important update: Windows 10 support ends

Microsoft has announced that support for Windows 10 will officially end on October 14, 2025. This means that after this date, Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates or technical support from Microsoft. To keep your farm computers safe and running smoothly, it's important to upgrade to Windows 11.

What does this mean for you?

If you use AgroVision software on a Windows 10 computer, we recommend checking whether your system is ready for an upgrade. Keeping your operating system up to date helps ensure AgroVision solutions continue to work reliably and securely. We cannot guarantee being able to support you when your computersoftware is outdated.

Don’t forget your other farm systems!

Many farms also use computers in equipment like milk robots, feeding systems, climate controle computer and machinery controle units. These systems may also run on Windows 10. If you're unsure, it's best to contact the supplier of that equipment to ask whether an update is needed and how to proceed.

Need more time? Consider the extended security updates programme

If you require additional time to transition to Windows 11, consider enrolling your Windows 10 device in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program. The ESU program provides crucial and important security updates for devices running Windows 10 until October 13, 2026. This program helps mitigate the risk of malware and cybersecurity attacks but does not include other types of fixes or technical support.

To enroll in the ESU program, your device must meet specific requirements, including running the latest version of Windows 10, version 22H2, and having the latest updates installed. Enrollment options are available at no additional cost for citizens of the European Economic Area (EEA) if you meet additional criteria set by Microsoft, or for a one-time payment of $30 per device for Windows 10 users outside of the EEA.

For more details and to enroll, refer to the Microsoft documentation.
