There are 3 options how to connect an electronic ID to an animal or location.
Option 1.
- Scan an eartag.
-If an eartag is not connected to an animal or to a location, the following message will appear:
If you click on Yes, you get the opportunity to add this EID to an animal or a location in the following screen:
On the search line at the top, you start typing a number of an animal or a location.
On the next picture, I started typing a number for an animal. You can change the focus to locations by tapping the button where it says ’locations’. This will give you the list of locations.
When you have the list of animals or locations, you choose one by clicking on the line.
This will open the animal card (or location card) and you click on ‘save’ if the information is correct.
When you save the changes, a popup message will inform you that everything is saved.
You have now successfully added an EID to an animal.
And all changes are saved on the animal card:
Option 2
Search for an animal that needs an EID, and open the animal card on this specific animal:
Click on the pencil to edit the sow card information.
This will show a line for EID.
Place the cursor on either the LF or the UHF EID, depending on your eartag.
Read the eartag, and the info on the eartag will automatically be added here.
After this add-on, you can click on ‘save sow’.
The animal now has an EID attached.
Option 3
- Go to the third home screen – all the way to the right.
- Find the icon for RFID and open it
Search to find the animal or the location that needs an EID.
Select within the list by clicking on the line.
Now you have the selected animal or location.
Scan the eartag and click on Save.
