From the homescreen, several work lists appear.
These lists are:
- Service
- Farrowing
- Weaning
- Retreatment
- All farm animals
- My work list
Service
Click on "Service" to view a list of animals that are ready for insemination, sorted by most wasted feed days. The last event is listed under the animal number, fx "weaned 5 days ago". The breeding index is to the right, if this has been added to the sow.
It is possible to select the sows for service by clicking "Select" in the top right corner and clicking on the sows. When the sows are selected, click "Register animals" at the bottom and choose a date for service for all the selected sows.
Click "Save Service" at the bottom.
It is also possible to enter the animal number in the search field at the top or use an RFID reader and register service on a single sow.
Next to "Select" in the top right corner is the QR reader-icon. See our guide to use QR codes here.
Farrowing
In the farrowing list, all pregnant sows are available for register farrowing. At the top, there is a search bar and QR code-icon just like in "Service". To see the sow card, swipe from left to right on the current sow and a pig-icon appears and click on it.
In the sow card there is a menu at the bottom with information: General, litter and medicine. In "General" it is possible to write a remark, change the animal number, ID and entry date. In "Litter" there is an overview of all events in this litter. In "Medicine" you can see previous treatments in this litter.
To register a farrowing, you can find the sow on the list or search for animal number and click on the applicable sow. The farrowing window opens and the farrowing date, liveborn, deadborn and possibly mummified as well as a cause are recorded. Save the farrowing at the bottom.
It is also possible to register dead pigs, litter levelling or relocation of piglets, as well as treatment of sows or piglets during or after farrowing registration. This is done at the bottom of the window.
Weaning
In the "Weaning" list there is a list of all lactating sows with the number of lactation days. The QR code-icon and search bar are also available in this window. It is also possible to view the sow card by swiping from left to right on the current sow in this window.
Click on a sow on the list to register a weaning. Select the weaning date, number of weaned piglets, weight of piglets and piglet location. If the sow is to be a nursing sow, click on the button next to "Nursing sow" and it turns blue.
Save the weaning at the bottom.
Retreatments
Retreatments are only visible if you have some retreatments and to do this you need to set up PigVision correctly. See the section "Retreatment" in the manual for medication registration here.
When a sow or piglets have been treated and fx a 3-day interval has been set up for this, it is possible to retreat easily and quickly in this menu. Click "Select" in the top left corner and mark the animals to be retreated.
Click "Register animals" at the bottom to register.
All animals
In the "All animals" list, you can see all sows in PigVision. You can create work lists with criteria by clicking on the filter and sort-icon in the top left.
Here you can set up one or several criteria for the sows to be included on the list. You can save as many work lists as you want. See how to create work lists for fx castration, vaccination, pregnancy checks, etc. here.
My work list
In "My work list" you can add sows by typing animal numbers, scanning QR codes or using a handheld terminal to scan electronic ear tags.
After all sows have been added to the work list, you can select them for one registration, fx castration of piglets. See how it is done here.
