Introduction

In this start-up article, you can read how you can get started with AgroVision Sows. This explains everything from the login and create an MyAgroVision account to make the best use of AgroVision Sows.

Login to My.AgroVision

Go to my.agrovision.com in your web browser and log in with your credentials.

If you do not have a MyAgroVision account, please create one by following this guide: How to create a MyAgroVision account


Open AgroVision Sows web application

On my.agrovision.com in your web browser you will see which applications you have access to. 

Find AgroVision Sows and press Open.



Create your site

As this is the first time in AgroVision Sows, a pop-up window will appear, where you can create your farm and fill in information. 

Your site or sites are shown in the top left corner, and here it is also possible to create a new site at the bottom of the dropdown menu.

Settings

Before entering data, you also need to set up your settings. In the Settings menu you can fill personal information and site information, create locations, breeds and treatment plans. 

Find the Settings menu in the bottom left corner of AgroVision Sows as highlighted below with the green square around the cog icon.



Personal information
Fill in the owners personal information.
Press Save when done.

Site information
Info
Fill in the site information of the farm and press Save when done. 
The site name will appear in the top left corner of AV Sows. 

 
Location
Here you can create barns, sections and pens by pressing Add Section or Add Pens.
It is possible to rename or delete locations if needed by pressing the pencil icon to edit.

Print location QR codes
It is possible to scan QR codes of your locations by using the mobile app.

Print the QR codes by pressing the Print icon and choose one or several locations. Select how many QR codes you want per page (here, 3x4 QR codes per page).

Press Open and a tab page will show your QR codes. From this page, you can decide if you want to print or save the codes.

Production
General

Production type
In general settings you can see the production type of your farm. It is only possible to choose the production setup, when creating a new site. When doing so, it will be possible to choose either "Sow management" or "Individual animal management".

If you choose "Individual animal management", all sow/boar related events are filtered away such as service, farrowing and weaning.


Electronic ID
Here, also choose the type of electronic ID as it is possible to connect a reader and scan EID in the mobile app.

Breed
Setup the breeds you have. Press the Save icon when done.


Health 
When treating animals, you need to combine a cause and a medicine to create a treatment plan. 

Cause

Enter the ID of the cause and give it a name. Put a checkmark if the cause applies to piglets and/or to sows. When done, press Save.Medicine
Press the "+" icon to create medicine with an ID and a name. Remember to save the line when done.Treatment plan
Now, you can combine the medicine, and the cause to create a treatment plan.

Start by creating an ID for the treatment plan, choose the medicine and the cause in the dropdown menus. If the type of the treatment is a vaccination, check mark “Vaccination” and if the treatment plan applies for treating piglets, also check mark this.

Fill in amount and unit per pig or kilogram.

Write the number of repeated treatment days. If the treatment plan is repeated for 3 days, write 1,2,3 and if the treatment plan is repeated for 5 days, write 1,2,3,4,5. Leave the column empty if repeated days are zero. 

Finally, fill in the number of withdrawal days and save the plan.

Management
Employee 
It is possible to choose between 3 types of employees roles.
    - Admin: employee gets full access to all functions.
    - Manager: no access to create or setup new sites.
    - Employee: no access to create or setup new sites and no access to the menu Settings.

There is also 3 types of status:  
     - Active: if the employee is working at the site.
     - Stopped: change the status if the employee does not work at the site anymore.
     - Pending: if the employee is not working at the site yet and is waiting for an invitation.

Create employee
To create an employee, simply enter initials, name, mail, role, choose the site of which the employee works, and provide the employee with a status. 

It is also possible to send an invitation to the employee by choosing “Invite employee”.

External relation
Here you can fill in all your external relations such as adviser, veterinarian or customers by clicking the "+" icon. When done entering all the relations, click Save.

Service group
It is possible to setup your service groups by filling out the information as shown on the picture below.

Press Save when done, and you will get an overview of your groups.

Home

The dashboard shows main key figures over time in graphical format so you can quickly see how things are going on your farm.

  • Add target to graph
    Click on the orange icon on the top right of any key figure graph and it will open into a full screen view where you can add a goal or target and filter the data to just show what you want to focus on (location, batch, date etc.).

  • More information
    By hovering your cursor on a column it will display more information about what makes up the information.

  • Production, exit and medicine
    You have dashboards based on your production, exits and medicine registrations. Find them in the top right corner. 
     

Data registration

Data entry
On any data entry screen, tap the plus (+) icon at the end of the row to add a new line.

Use your mouse or Tab key to navigate from left to right along the various available boxes for data entry.

Press the save button when you have finished that line.


Sort data

On every data entry screen, you can sort the raw data by clicking on the column heading of your choice to sort by that figure. Click on the heading a second time to reverse the sort. 

To remove the sorting, click a third time.


Edit/delete data

Edit data
To edit data, click on the field you wish to edit and overwrite the current value.
When done, click the Save icon at the end of the row.

Delete data
To delete data, click on the trash can icon on the left of the line you wish to delete and click Yes to the delete record pop-up message.


Animal events

In this menu, you have all the events in the top such as service, farrowing and weaning. 

Register all animal events by pressing + on the right. The existing data entered will be shown by default.


Animals

Register entry of all breeding stock that are part of the herd by pressing +.
The existing data entered will be shown.

You can use this menu to filter the information you see or print. You can choose as many filters as you wish in the filter line. 

Click on the x button to the right of the selected filter to remove the chosen filter.

Animal card

The animal card contains information about your animal and shows event history. All sows that are created are assigned a sow card, where you can get an overview of the sow's data. 


Making registration on an animal card

To enter registration press + sign. When the entry is done, always click save at the end of the line. 


Attention/Status field on animal card 

An attention field appear on the animal card to remind you of a specific situation. The field could also show if the animal is in treatment and/or in a withdrawal period. 


Print

To print from any screen, tap on the printer icon on the right and make your choice from Open PDF, Download PDF or Download CSV.
Once you have made your decision you can print the document if required


Zoom window

If you find certain screens that you cannot see the names of the column headings or other things are slightly hidden, try to adjust the zoom of your browser to 90%.

This can be done by clicking on the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the browser window and adjusting it from 100% to 90%. This can also be done by pressing the Ctrl key on your keyboard and moving your mouse wheel backwards to decrease the zoom or forwards to increase the zoom.


Worklist

New worklist

When creating a worklist, a new tab will open in your browser. You have different selection criteria, which you need to fill out before getting a list of your animals. 

  • Column selection
    Start by choosing the main event such as “Vaccination”. 
    A table will be shown.

    You can choose extra events, which will allow you to enter a remark and/or a relocation while registering the main event. The table will automatically adjust depending on the chosen events.

  • Animal selection
    Here you decide which animals should appear on the list by choosing on of the options in the dropdown menu. You can press the pencil icon in the corner to specify the selection. It is also possible to have several different age groups of animals appearing on the list.

  • Employee selection
    Choose an employee and the table will add the name of the employee to the list.


Save worklist

When all selections are finished, you can press Save and name your worklist. Afterwards, it will appear whenever you enter the worklist menu. 


Delete worklist

Press the trash can icon to delete a worklist. 



Default worklist

This category will show existing worklists such as the Retreatment list. Simply click the list and an overview of e.g. retreated animals will be shown. In the top of the default worklist, you can filter and sort animals. 


When you click on the icon on the left it will open the AgroVision Sows E-Learning.
